[How-To] Clausing 8520, 8530 New Quill lock like a BP

Well, I didn't like the quill stop. it was not stable enough, and often fell out. So I was learning Freecad, produced a model. I have to say this is my first attempt working from the plans of the freecad drawing. I like it. I made quick work of it... I made one mistake with the dro, rather than get my edge finder then moving over .1 I punched in .10 .. DUMB.. it should have been -0.1 I was on the wrong side of the datum. This caused me one problem with drilling the spring hole, and I had to wind up filling them with an aluminum rod. Another mistake was how I did the pocket for the hinge piece. I should have left them attached before splitting I also should have realized I could have used my finest 1/8 and 1/16 end mills to cut the pocket to the corner. I forgot I had a whole draw of fine endmills.. If I redo this in steel I'll know how to improve it. As it is now it works. I had to fit it by hand filing to get it to fit the tight 8520 head. Lots of fitting.

edit: new pic of the printout I worked with. For some reason POS freecad keeps changing numbers. And what it's attached to. I was looking at the screen going that's not what I worked off of. Here's a printout.. I just brought up the file and one of the models is all 0.0000 it says corrupt invalid reference... it keeps losing what it's referencing. I can't figure out what is causing this. I am using a spreadsheet for sizes, so maybe techdraw has a problem with the spreadsheets.. if anyone else experiences the de referencing corruption please let me know..
