the butt plate and scope base I made previously. I have since improved the fit of the dovetail amd gotten a much better finish from a different cutter.

Been working on a new little 6'x10' utility trailer for myself the past couple of nights.

Yesterday the big brown truck stopped by the shop and dropped off some trailer goodies. I bought some accessories for my E-Track that is going on the trailer. These items were made by Erickson and seem to be pretty good quality of what I can tell so far.

I also decided that I am going to go with LED lighting so they were also in the box.

I cut the spreader bars/tubes and they too are ready to be welded in place as soon as I measure and decide on spacing.

Now some random pictures of several of my welds.

That is about it for now. Hopefully I get a call today saying my axle is done and ready to be picked up so I can make some progress over the weekend. I would like to get this done as soon as possible so I can move on to jobs where I actually make money rather than spend it.:bounce:

My little project today was to start making parts for my automatic feed stop. Made this locking lever this morning.

Inspired by Smudgemo's post of 10 days ago I decided I should have a go at making some new chuck keys.

My 3 jaw and 4 jaw chucks take slightly different size key so I set out to make two of each.

And the original key they will replace (which has been to only key since I brought the lathe)

I made an attempt to harden the tip by heating and quenching in water but as I made them from unknown steel scrap I don't expect them to be very hard, but hopefully it will of taken some of the softness away - time will tell.

I knurled the centre portion of the handle and just press fitted it to the body with the help of a little tool/jig I turned up to suit.

They came out nice and having 2 works really nice when centering the 4-jaw.
