Never make the mistake of telling the misses that you have cash on hand, you will be left with only change left in your pocket..... I will learn for next time though!

If the parts came out of the shop, naturally the funds should be used for something to take it's place in the shop.

That works for me.

I've just purchased 6 mtrs of 1 & 1/2 " cold drawn aluminium tubing with a 5 mm thick wall for a job that will only use just over three metres of it .
" Well my love , they want to charge me a handling and cutting charge to give me 4 mtrs as it must be just over three metres to do your pond supports , that works out at nearly the same price as an uncut length which they will deliver for free ."

That's a nice handy profit of some spare usable quality tubing .
