Why Did You Choose Your Username And Avatar?

I find both metrology and trains very fascinating. Mauzinettes are non-motorised railroad cars used by SNCF Reséau for track geometry measurement.

What comes to the avatar, I took it from a Sheldon Brown article about steel bicycle frame repairs. It's basically a homage to Rivendell Bicycle Works, an American producer of lugged steel bicycle frames.

First name Last initial.

My avatar is my makers mark (being machined) for woodworking projects.

I Designed and machined the handle the rod, and the brass blank. My buddy machined the mark into the blank with a 0.050" 2 flute in a conversational Bridgeport.

The handle is spalted hard maple.
